Q: My child prefers roti over rice. How is this catered for in the new Saturday lunch menu?
A: While the requirement for roti has been catered to in the new menu starting today, it is not possible to cater to everyone’s requirement, which will differ widely. The menus are designed to cater to wide range of preferences and hopefully will cover the full spectrum of requirement

Q: We come from quite far and as such would like to maximize our child’s time in academics as against other activities, in order to make it worth our while traveling from so far?
A: The extra curricular activities carried out by the Activity Team, in no way eat into the childrens’ learning time, but in fact add to it and enrich it. Children learn a lot via the activities rather sitting in a classroom and listening to teachers. Besides, it is important to make Madrasah a fun place to come to, so that children do not feel that they are sacrificing their weekend to come to Madrasah

Q: Is there anyway for some Mo’allims to come half way to teach children? Some of us have to travel really far to bring children to Madrasah
A: At the moment, for the number of children on roll, there aren’t enough teachers for London Madrasah. It is difficult to spare some to go and teach elsewhere even if raza is granted. This would need to be looked into longer term. There is no short term solution to this

Q: Young children are seen roaming around the masjid complex unsupervised. Besides there is no access control to the masjid complex. People are free to come and go as they please. What about safety of children?
A: This issue has been observed by the Committee and there are propositions to address this. The new classroom areas will be access controlled, so it will be more difficult for children to wander around and also for outsiders to enter the classroom areas. Besides there is a plan to issue children with ID cards which they will be required to wear on their person at all times, and for very young children, these ID cards will have information regarding allergies etc.
