Madrasa Rules

To ensure that a healthy intellectual environment is maintained and children’s time at madrasa is spent productively, the Madrasa Administration has laid down the following rules and regulations for children to abide by. Please read the regulations; explain them to the children; sign the tear off and return to your child’s respective class teacher.

Before coming to Madrasa:

  • Children must come to madrasa in uniform. Uniform for girls have been provided. Boys must wear topi, WHITE kurto and sayo and izaar (susi is fine). Pants are not allowed.
  • Children, 4th grade and above, MUST do wuzu before coming to madrasa and remain in wuzu throughout the madrasa period.
  • Children must bring a masallah—clean and neatly folded—for namaaz
  • Children must carry at least 2 SHARPENED pencils and an eraser to madrasa. No pens are allowed.
  • Children must carry their textbooks and notebooks/workbooks for madrasa. Without these it would be pointless to show up.
  • Make sure that children are dressed neatly, their nails are tidy and clipped; their hair is neatly tied (for girls, no loose hair; MUST be tied) or neatly groomed (for boys, such that they are contained in the topi).
  • Fill in the Malaf regularly. Please ask the class teacher for assistance, if needed.
  • If you need to pick up your child earlier than the scheduled time, you MUST provide a written note to the class teacher in advance.
  • Madrasa will start at 9:45am sharp. Children are expected to reach madrasa at least 10 mins before time.

While in Madrasa:

  • Children are expected to place their shoes properly on the shoe rack when entering the markaz.
  • In winter, children are expected to hang their coats/jackets at the entrance of the markaz. A Madrasa khidmat guzaar will be at hand to assist. Coats/jackets will NOT be allowed in the class. Children can wear a sweater throughout the madrasa, if they are cold in the markaz.
  • During bio breaks, children MUST wear a chakdi or flip-flop to the bathroom. No one should go bare-footed.
Parents may not enter the markaz prior to 3:30PM. If you are a few minutes early, please wait outside.
  • If picking up your child early from class, please wait for a volunteer to help you. Please do not enter the markaz.
  • Beginning this Madrasa year, provisions have been made for homework and other information to be available online. Detailed homework emails will no longer be sent. Please visit http://m-b.london for weekly homework.

The Madrasa Administration hopes and expects that the above rules will be adhered to so that order, discipline and professionalism is maintained in the madrasa.
